Main Responsibilities
1. Deliver exceptional care by supporting/assisting residents with daily living tasks such as washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, and other essential activities.
2. Attend to the diverse needs of residents (physical, emotional, spiritual) while prioritizing their comfort and dignity at all times.
3. Pay particular attention to residents who have limited mobility or physical/learning difficulties, utilizing aids and resources effectively.
4. Closely monitor residents who may be confused or have behavioral problems, responding promptly to ensure their well-being.
5. Assist in promoting continence and deliver compassionate care to those nearing the end of life.
6. Collaborate in social activities by engaging with residents, helping them pursue hobbies, and enhancing their overall experience within the care center.
7. Respond to nurse call systems, providing assistance when needed. Answer doors and phones appropriately, passing on messages efficiently.
8. Under senior care staff guidance, report on residents' wellbeing and contribute to regular checks at designated intervals.
9. Make visitors feel welcome, offering refreshments and assistance as required.
10. Maintain rooms clean and tidy, changing beds and emptying commodes according to established policies.
11. Ensure responsible use of nursing home resources.
12. Clean and maintain equipment used by clients/relatives, including wheelchairs, hearing aids, spectacles, etc. Keep the nursing home environment clean and organized, reflecting our company's commitment to attention to detail.
13. Where applicable, manage clients' clothing and rooms, clearly labeling and recording all items.
14. Maintain full privacy and dignity for the dying and bereaved, adhering to our company policies and procedures.
15. Assist residents during meal times, being mindful of swallowing difficulties, dietary requirements, etc. Assist with serving food/drinks as requested and wash up accordingly.
16. Accompany residents traveling to and from the nursing home for social outings, hospital visits, etc.
17. Exercise utmost integrity in dealing with clients' personal and financial matters, avoiding any potential abuse of their trust.
