Job Summary:
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We're responsible for the cloud's infrastructure, supporting data centers and servers that ensure customer access to innovation.
You'll collaborate with diverse teams of engineers, specialists, and managers across AWS. Together, you'll deliver high standards for safety and security while providing low-cost, high-capacity services to customers.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Deploy network infrastructure across our network fabrics in support of Amazon Retail Service, Kindle, Payments, and multiple AWS services.
2. Scale the network across multiple global data centers.
3. Create simple, repetitive deployment processes that increase velocity and quality of delivery.
4. Work closely with internal customers on designs/solutions, bringing concepts to production.
5. Create and update network standards, ensuring the network is deployed to these standards.
6. Collaborate with automation teams to define tools for scaling at unprecedented volumes.
Basics Qualifications
• 5-6 years of experience working in large data centers or Telco networks, covering design and operations
• Knowledge of IP Networking fundamentals and Routing Protocols like BGP, OSPF, R&S
• Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment
• Experience scripting in languages like Python, Perl, or Shell
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of network hardware and packet forwarding architectures
• Ability to handle ambiguous challenges and articulate technical solutions through abstract thinking
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems
