Maintenance Technician
The primary objective of this role is to ensure the smooth operation of equipment and facilities by performing regular maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To carry out all work in a safe, cost-effective manner while maintaining high standards of quality and adhering to relevant procedures and guidelines.
2. Carrying out routine and non-routine mechanical tasks as delegated, following established protocols and best practices.
3. To notify the Maintenance Manager promptly of any site-related issues that may impact operations or asset performance.
4. To ensure seamless knowledge transfer by passing on relevant information to subsequent maintenance shifts.
5. Performing preventive maintenance routines to minimize downtime and optimize equipment efficiency.
6. Keeping accurate records of activities and accomplishments.
7. Identifying and resolving recurring equipment malfunctions while minimizing operational disruptions.
8. Supporting construction, commissioning, and qualification efforts for new equipment.
9. Collaborating in the development and revision of maintenance documentation as required.
10. Selecting spare parts strategically to maximize equipment availability.
11. Operating utilities and equipment efficiently and safely, prioritizing uptime.
12. Analyzing equipment data to report on performance and identify areas for improvement.
13. Assisting with shutdown preparation and execution.
14. Providing training to other staff members on departmental procedures and techniques when necessary.
15. Troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting utility and manufacturing equipment to enable high-quality product production.
16. Ensuring the safe execution of all activities within the maintenance team while adhering to statutory, environmental, regulatory, corporate, site, and team practices.
17. Reporting any EHS incidents or near misses.
18. Maintaining housekeeping standards at a high level.
19. Fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Any additional duties as directed by your manager.
