Procurement Leadership Role

About the Job
* Lead and manage an operational purchasing team to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and components.
* Foster strategic relationships with suppliers worldwide, driving improved quality, cost reductions, and supply consistency.
* Maintain departmental KPIs on on-time delivery, supplier performance, stock levels, and cost savings.
* Implement and oversee Supplier Managed Inventory (SMI) strategies with key vendors.
* Analyse and deliver freight cost savings and stock reduction initiatives.
* Oversee purchase order creation, approvals, and compliance with company policy.
* Develop and maintain procurement processes aligned with ISO and QMS standards.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and warehousing teams to ensure inventory accuracy and material availability.
* Support accurate forecasting and long-term supplier planning.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in purchasing and procurement leadership, preferably in manufacturing or engineering.
* Proven track record in supplier management, cost reduction, and achieving performance targets.
* Excellent commercial acumen, with experience negotiating international agreements and logistics contracts.
* Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
* Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
