A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a new role for Senior Specialist, Business Consulting for a R&D Grant Coordinator.
Our site is focussed on the commercialisation of the small molecule pipeline for our company which involves the development and deployment of new technologies and processes to bring new molecules to patients that need them. As the site’s commercialisation work increases, the level of this process research and development will exponentially increase. Therefore, there is an opportunity to better leverage additional national support programs through formal IDA grant support schemes and Revenue R&D tax credit programs.
Reporting to the Site Supply Chain lead with dotted line to the Site Finance lead, the successful candidate for this new role will work to partner with site Finance, Operational & Technical teams to coordinate, support and ultimately deliver successful IDA grant and Revenue tax credit claims. The successful candidate will be required to develop standard work processes to enable the development of the technical and financial information required to submit grant proposals as well as the processes to track and deploy successful claims in order to leverage the financial support that is available.. In this role, you will work with people at all levels of the organization to develop, report, monitor and manage key financial and non-financial performance indicators.
This is a 24-month fixed term contract.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Develop standard work for the collation and authoring of grant approval and drawdown process using project mgmt. tools and mindsets.
* Coordinate the assembly of the Technical & Finance submissions and the associated site review to support Right first-time grant approval/claim approval.
* Ensure compliance with corporate Finance rules
* Generate codified procedures in support of grant and R&D tax credit projects
* Support audit requirements
* Support month end financial cycle.
* Report out through governance councils
* Produce presentations as required to support interfaces with other parties including shared services and corporate functions
* Escalate issues to the Site Finance Lead, as required to avoid impacting upon project KPIs
Desired Skills / Experience:
* Demonstrated Knowledge of the Tax Credit rules within Revenue and IDA requirements
* Strong Data Analytical Skills
* Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively across functional lines and ability to turn ambiguous processes into structured standard work processes.
* Knowledge of and experience in deployment of continuous improvement and ability to leverage Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.

Education Requirements:
* Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Science or equivalent.
