Role Responsibilities
Build and iterate rapid prototypes (electrical, mechanical, firmware, and software) to evaluate new robotics concepts and de‑risk system feasibility.
Develop end‑to‑end platform architectures and reference implementations that integrate sensing, compute, connectivity, and motion—creating reusable building blocks for future ADI robotics solutions.
Design and execute characterization, benchmarking, and test automation (performance, robustness, safety) to generate data that drives architecture choices and technology readiness.
Produce design docs, integration guides, and internal enablement that transfer learnings to product teams—capturing tradeoffs, pitfalls, and recommended system patterns.
Why Join Us
Work on what’s next: Incubate advanced robotics platforms before they become products—shaping future direction through hands‑on experimentation.
Prototype at pace: Move quickly from idea to proof‑of‑concept with a team that values fast iteration, measurement, and learning.
Build systems intuition: Develop breadth across hardware, firmware, controls, and software—learning how to debug complex, multi‑domain robotics systems end‑to‑end.
High leverage influence: Partner with research, product, and applications teams to translate prototypes into reusable platform capabilities and clear technical recommendations.
Career development: Get mentorship, training, and exposure across the robotics ecosystem—building foundations for technical leadership in systems engineering, architecture, controls, or embedded development.
What We’re Looking For
Robotics software and controls (ROS/ROS2 a plus; scripting for automation and data analysis a plus)
Electronics, lab measurement, and hardware bring‑up for sensing, power, and motion subsystems
Embedded firmware and real‑time development (control loops, drivers, timing, interfaces)
System integration, connectivity, and telemetry (industrial interfaces, networking, logging, or edge compute integration)
