Senior Cost/Management Accountant – Fixed Term Contract

Type: Full-time | 18-Month Contract
A+F Recruitment is partnering with an organisation in the healthcare manufacturing sector to recruit a Senior Management Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional to join a global leader with a strong footprint in Ireland.
The successful candidate will report to the Financial Controller and take ownership of cost accounting, month-end reporting, and financial support for operations and projects. The role involves a mix of hands‑on finance work and strategic input, with a strong focus on cost control and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead month‑end reporting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Provide detailed cost and BOM analysis for new products and plant expansion opportunities
Support standard cost setting and absorption projections, including milk and protein analysis
Partner with operations to review material usage variances and support continuous improvement
Coordinate internal and external audit requirements, including SOX compliance
Support S&OP reviews and assist in annual stocktakes and reconciliations
Represent finance on cross‑functional projects including NPI, process trials, and CAPEX evaluations
Requirements:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
At least 3 years’ experience in cost accounting
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Experience with standard costing, inventory systems, and SAP or similar ERP systems
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives
