Player Welfare Administrator - 8 Month FTC

**Closing Date For Applications - Friday 23rd January**

OVERVIEW

The World Rugby Brian Health Services seeks to assist, at first, retired rugby players with managing and monitoring their brain health after playing rugby. The platform will be the first of its kind from sporting organisation dedicated to retired athletes.

The Brain Health Project is being undertaken to assess past players cognitive capacity and deliver the following outcomes:

1. An awareness programme – focus is to raise awareness within ex-players that they can protect and improve brain function
2. Prevention programme – educate players and Family Doctors/family medical practitioners regarding how they, the player, can limit and perhaps improve their brain function
3. A triage service aimed at identifying individuals who may have brain function deficits – triaging into high, medium and low risks

The Player Welfare administrative support will aid project delivery of 'front-facing' projects in Player Welfare for World Rugby, with responsibilities across several key projects in the Player Welfare and Rugby services department. This includes:

1. Operational management of ongoing roll out of the Brain Health Services.
2. Assistance in management and delivery of 4 annual Player Welfare conferences.
3. Management of content on the Player Welfare website.
4. Management of Player Welfare newsletter.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Project management of all administration relating to the Brain Health Service:
* Coordination of budget for the delivery of Brain Health Services to multiple regions, including platform maintenance costs, clinician costs and new project planning.
* Organise, manage and minute all Brain Health Steering Group meetings and software review meetings.
* Assist in maintenance of the Brain Health Programme database, including liaison with ADDI in developing a TRE (trusted research environment) for the database.
* Assist with Data protection and security procedures in line with DPIA recommendations
* This is an international role where the applicant may need to work with stakeholders overseas in Australia and New Zealand – some flexibility in timings of virtual meetings is required.
* Assistance in management and delivery of four annual Player Welfare conferences (across hospitality, travel management, speaker management, language interpretation services, venue & IT support)
* Medical Commission Conference
* Training & Education Conference
* Player Welfare Symposium
* Rugby Science Network Annual Conference
* Management Player Welfare website & Player Welfare newsletter:
* Curation and addition of new material to the player welfare website
* Use of Pulselive and World Rugby digital platforms and content management systems for the upkeep of the World Rugby website.
* Management of education module content update
* Delivery of bi-monthly Player Welfare newsletter (includes content curation, management of translation and liaison with IT and development for content presentation)
