Overview
Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity for a Senior SCADA Engineer. You will play a pivotal role in delivering mission-critical automation solutions for power systems. You will lead the design, implementation, and commissioning of SCADA systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of reliability, cybersecurity, and performance.
Responsibilities
* Project Leadership: Lead SCADA engineering activities across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, timelines, and budgets.
* System Design: Architect SCADA solutions, including RTUs, HMI, communication protocols, and integration with other grid automation systems.
* Team Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, field engineers, and cybersecurity experts.
* Customer Engagement: Act as a technical point of contact for customers, supporting workshops, design reviews, and system acceptance testing.
* Quality & Compliance: Ensure solutions comply with industry standards (IEC, NERC CIP, etc.) and Hitachi Energy’s quality and safety protocols.
* Innovation & Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in SCADA engineering practices, tools, and methodologies.
Your Background
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or related field.
* Proven experience in SCADA systems design and implementation, preferably in the energy or utilities sector.
* Strong knowledge of communication protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, etc.).
* Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and practices in industrial control systems.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
