Job Description
The Production Team Lead oversees the production team, ensuring a smooth workflow and supervising staff. They collaborate closely with operators, material handlers, and line support technicians to manufacture medical devices.
This role involves:
* Leading Line Support Technicians, Material Handlers, and Versatile Operators
* Understanding production workflows, machinery, and equipment
* Solving production problems efficiently
* Supervising staff: planning headcount, supporting recruitment, training, managing attendance, resolving issues, and completing annual performance reviews
* Ensuring products meet quality standards and adhere to processes correctly
* Organizing production schedules, meeting deadlines, and maintaining a seamless workflow
* Tracking production KPIs such as throughput, yield, and schedule adherence
* Reporting downtime and defects accurately
* Managing training and development to build a skilled and flexible team
* Managing inventory to ensure materials and parts are available when needed without overstocking
* Completing administrative tasks such as updating metrics, managing Time & Attendance, and holiday planning
* Collaborating with logistics, engineering, and quality teams for smooth production
