Purcelloleary on behalf of your client, are currently seeking an experienced Payroll and Accounts Assistant to join their back-office function in our Head Office in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.
This is a full-time permanent position.
Job details for the Payroll and Accounts Assistant As payroll and accounts assistant, you will be expected to perform all payroll, accounting and administrative tasks professionally and with a strong attention to detail.
The primary focus of this role is payroll administration and supporting the wider accounts team in preparing accounts for a number of companies within the group.
Main Duties & Responsibilities for the Payroll and Accounts Assistant Full responsibility for the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll for 1100 employees.
Responsible for ensuring that monthly and annual local tax payments and compliance requirements are met (Revenue Submissions and CSO reports) Co-ordinate payments to benefits providers such as health insurers and administrators of such schemes such as pension, VHI, Bike to Work.
Provide weekly reports to the HR & Finance teams Provide a superior customer service by responding to and resolving employee payroll queries with efficiency and professionalism in a courteous and respectful manner.
Posting of journal entries for both payroll and GL tasks Posting of bank transactions Reconciliations of Resident accounts Work as part of the finance team providing support as required.
Ensure compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and ensure that a high level of confidentiality is maintained at all time.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills Required for the Payroll and Accounts Assistant An IPASS or an equivalent payroll or accounting qualification Minimum of 2 years' experience in a fast-paced, high volume payroll/accounts environment Excellent IT, administration and analytical skills as well as a high level of attention to detail Ability to work under pressure Strong communication skills and confidentiality essential Experience of Computerised Payroll System- Quantum an advantage Understanding of Irish employment law and payroll related tax matters COMPETENCIES for the Payroll and Accounts Assistant Detail focused with strong attention to detail, payroll needs to be completed in an accurate fashion Focused on continuous Improvement, be willing to challenge the status quo and suggest process efficiencies Strong Communicator with the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.
