Cpl is working with a specialist not‑for‑profit organisation that provides residential support to young people seeking international protection. We are currently seeking a Human Resource Officer to support the delivery of a professional, compliant, and staff‑focused HR service.
This is a hybrid position, with 3 days onsite in Tullamore and 2 days working from home (probation period is fully onsite). Regular travel to other service locations will also be required.
Responsibilities
Support recruitment processes from advertising to onboarding, following safer recruitment practices
Prepare job ads, arrange interviews, and communicate with candidates
Process and track Garda Vetting, references, and pre‑employment checks
Prepare contracts and onboarding packs
Coordinate staff induction, including Children First and safeguarding training
Set up, update, and audit staff files in line with Tusla and organisational requirements
Ensure all staff records are complete, accurate, and stored securely in line with GDPR
Support internal audits and Tusla inspections
Maintain training records and the Training Matrix
Organise training, track certifications, and flag upcoming expiries
Support payroll updates for new starters, leavers, and contract changes
Keep HR and payroll systems up to date and accurate
Prepare HR information for management reports
Handle confidential HR data and support data protection requests
Assist with improving HR systems and processes
Experience Required
A relevant qualification in Human Resources or a related area
2+ years experience in a HR support or HR administration role
Good knowledge of Irish employment law and HR best practice
Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, and day‑to‑day HR processes
A clear understanding of GDPR and data protection when handling HR information
Experience keeping staff files and HR records accurate and compliant
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and HR systems (HRIS)
Strong organisational skills with good communication and people skills
A full clean driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide
