We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a Database Administrator, you will play a key role in configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the operational and reporting databases to align with our environment strategy.

About the Role:

In this exciting role, you will engage in capacity planning to ensure sufficient system resources, monitor database size and health, and create and manage plans for statistics and index maintenance.
">
Key Responsibilities:
">
">
* Configure and maintain databases according to our environment strategy
">
* Engage in capacity planning exercises to ensure adequate system resources
">
* Monitor performance metrics and troubleshoot issues
">
* Apply updates to production and non-production environments
">
* Manage logins for different types of access
">
* Perform database backups and verify restores
">
* Participate in Change Control processes for all planned applications and technical activities
">
* Communicate Epic EMR database changes to necessary teams
">
* Work closely with other databases, environment/infrastructure and internal/external enterprise security teams
">
* Provide on-call support for production performance/availability or other critical issues
">
">
Requirements:
">
">
* Degree Qualified in relevant field (Data Science or STEM subject) or equivalent experience
">
* Working knowledge of Linux operating system
">
* Ability to create, understand, and follow processes to ensure successful execution of critical maintenance
">
">
Preferred Qualifications:
">
">
* Experience working with Epic Systems
">
* RDBMS Certification preferably Microsoft SQL Server
">
* Strong Linux administration skills
">
">
