OverviewThe Site Engineering Lead is a member of the SM GET LT Team in the Innovative Medicines portfolio. The role provides leadership and direction for resources and activities in Asset Management to support the manufacture of APIs and other products. The incumbent leads a team responsible for delivering innovative engineering and technology solutions, advanced maintenance practices, and next‑generation automation support for site operations.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and be accountable for an engineering budget based on asset risk, criticality, availability, and unreliability costs.Ensure the engineering team has the required size, skills, training and ongoing development in technical, managerial, and business areas.Implement standards for recurring work, including standard methods, safety analyses, resource planning, and cost compilation to maximise efficiency, minimise risks and reduce downtime.Drive continuous improvement through KPIs, process monitoring and the implementation of improvement opportunities.Define engineering requirements for equipment reliability, availability, maintainability, lifecycle costs and performance standards.Review engineering standards, provide guidance on technology and components, and coordinate FRACAS and equipment reviews for asset reliability and capital planning.Own risk assessment processes (e.g., FMECA, HAZOP, RCM), set mitigation strategies and determine maintenance and spare parts needs.Maintain up-to-date asset documentation and CMMS data.Accountable for the execution of engineering projects, NPIs, PLCMs, CIP, JJPS and Lean initiatives.Lead Platform Asset Management initiatives, ensuring their execution locally.QualificationsStrong leadership and interpersonal skills.Proven experience in a supply‑chain related organisation (engineering, maintenance, operations).Required skills: Capital Equipment, Project Management, Site Leadership.Preferred skills: Agile Decision Making, Budget Management, Collaboration, Customer Centricity, Developing Others, Facilitation, Inclusive Leadership, Leadership, Lean Supply Chain Management, Non‑Conformance Reporting (NCR), Organizational Project Management, Project Engineering, Project Integration Management, Quality Assurance (QA), Regulatory Compliance, STEM application, Scientific Research, Stakeholder Engagement, Team Management.Pay Range€85,000.00 – €146,050.00 per annum, plus an annual bonus with a target percentage of pay based on performance.BenefitsVacation days and paid time off.Parental leave of at least 12 weeks.Bereavement, caregiver and volunteer leave.Well‑being reimbursement programmes for financial, physical and mental health.Service anniversary and recognition awards.Insurance plans available to employees and eligible dependents, depending on location.EEO StatementAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, protected veteran status or disability.AccommodationWe will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided with reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment.
