Position: Maintenance Manager
This role is an integral part of our Engineering team based in Sligo, Ireland.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the maintenance team.
2. Plan schedules ensuring vendor lead maintenance is booked and EHS & PO are in place.
3. Coordinate with Scheduler for equipment, facilities, and utilities access.
4. Work with QC to schedule access to lab equipment and facilities.
5. Implement workload planning to ensure visibility and balance of maintenance activities.
6. Ensure maintenance of equipment, utilities, and facilities.
7. Prioritize workload for team and contingent workers to maintain validated equipment supporting production.
8. Manage Work Orders for timely approval, closure, and accurate documentation.
9. Assign primary and secondary maintenance engineers to each eMaint asset.
10. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for GMP critical assets.
11. Ensure compliance with EU GMP, EHS, and other standards.
12. Manage service contracts and vendor performance, including SLAs.
13. Oversee team on-call rota and provide on-call coverage as needed.
14. Ensure timely completion of deviations, CAPAs, and change controls related to maintenance.
15. Support regulatory inspections and audits, leading investigations and CAPA actions.
16. Coordinate with other departments to ensure operational continuity and improvements.
17. Manage budgets and KPIs.
18. Lead root cause analyses and continuous improvement projects.
19. Manage training on SOPs, work instructions, and OJT.
20. Support the introduction of new equipment or technology.
21. Perform duties in compliance with SOPs, EHS standards, legal requirements, and other guidelines.
22. Perform other duties as assigned.
Technical and Professional Competencies:
* Deep knowledge of EU GMP regulations, especially Annex 1 & 15.
* Proven experience with CMMS.
* Familiarity with utilities and cleanroom environments.
* Strong technical aptitude.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
* At least 5 years’ experience in maintenance management within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotech environment.
Desired Qualifications:
* Experience with automation and building management systems.
* Experience supporting sterile/aseptic manufacturing or vaccine production.
* Certifications in Six Sigma, Lean, or Reliability.
* Project management experience in capital or upgrade projects.
