Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Integrated Management System (IMS) across our operations. This will involve working closely with the Safety Manager and other departments to ensure that all processes are working and recording in accordance with our IMS.
* Manage and maintain the IMS, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
* Work closely with the Safety Manager and other departments to ensure seamless integration of all processes and procedures.
* Develop and implement strategies to broaden our systems and achieve certification in 55001 Asset Management and separate Carbon Ladder Certification.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Civil Engineering or a related field, with experience in road network maintenance contracts or projects. They will also possess excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain current and future ISO standards.
* Broaden our systems to achieve 55001 Asset Management and separate Carbon Ladder Certification.
* Ensure all Quality, Environmental and Energy Management requirements are incorporated into decision-making processes.
* Prepare and submit Monthly Reports to clients.
* Control data-gathering processes to facilitate preparation of the Monthly Report.
* Prepare and submit Yearly Reports.
* Control preparation and storage of all data, correspondence, and documentation.
* Initiate preparation of safety, quality and design documentation for all activities and ensure submission to clients under certification process.
* Carry out reviews of Plans, Procedures, RAMs etc when required.
* Ensure management reviews are carried out at regular intervals and objectives, targets, and risks are measured and updated each year.
* Develop measuring tools for performance of projects, processes etc.
* Prepare quality submissions for clients in advance of construction or renewal projects.
* Develop testing protocols with subcontractors.
* Control, monitor, testing and inspection of works.
* Manage production of all testing and inspection data for supplying to clients and for as-built documentation.
* Ensure all operations are carried out in line with own and legislative environmental requirements.
* Maintain and adapt energy and carbon use recording processes.
* Produce year-end Energy Management Report.
* Manage maintenance of all waste records.
* Set up sub-waste management plans for larger projects.
* Work with Sustainability Champion to develop and instigate various projects to further carbon and biodiversity goals.
Requirements:
* A level eight qualification recognised by HETEC in Civil Engineering, or other equivalent professional qualification.
* Membership of recognised industry body.
* Experience in road network maintenance contracts or projects with similar services and activities- to this specific contract.
* Manager's experience in Quality Systems.
* Experience in Data Management and Controls.
* Experience of Environmental Controls and systems.
* Demonstrable knowledge of TII road standards and specifications.
* High level of computer literacy (MS Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint).
* Industry recognised safety-training standard for level of post (PSCS and PSDP Knowledge/Training).
