Senior Engineer - Cork Our client, a leading Irish homebuilder renowned for high-quality residential developments nationwide, is recruiting a Senior Engineer for two key Cork projects. With a proven track record in large-scale housing, they prioritise safety, quality, and efficient delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn health and safety management, review design drawings, raise RFIs, and actively participate in design team meetings to resolve issues.Monitor subcontractor quality, ensure compliance with building regulations and standards, conduct continuous site inspections, and champion internal quality systems like DMS (Zutec) and BCAR.Manage works packages: advise on tenders, coordinate subcontractors/services, track programmes, order materials, and drive value engineering.Lead temporary works, third-party stakeholders (Irish Water, ESB, authorities), site meetings, and engineering team mentoring.Instil customer service excellence and advocate for the brand.Essential RequirementsHETAC Level 8 Engineering qualification with minimum 5 years' experience.Strong technical skills in quality control, programme delivery, and stakeholder management.Excellent communication, methodical detail-orientation, team leadership, and ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.Project FocusLarge residential schemes in Cork featuring apartments, houses, and commercial space under a social/cost-rental model, with site works underway and construction ramping up—requiring intensive subcontractor management, technical oversight, safety, quality control, and stakeholder coordination across active developmentsBenefits PackageCompetitive salary, performance bonus, pension matching, full health insurance, CPD funding, paid maternity/paternity leave, life assurance, and more.
