Our client is a leading and award-winning wine importer with over 40 years of experience in the Irish wine market. They have established themselves as a leader by supplying many top restaurants and hotels throughout Ireland.

We are now looking for a sales and business developer to join their knowledgeable and experienced Sales Team.

">

This role requires a passion for the food and wine industry, along with a strong personality to drive sales. You will be managing an existing portfolio of clients within a designated territory, maximising opportunities for new business, and working closely with the Sales Manager to achieve objectives.

">

Your Field Sales Job

">

You will be responsible for:

">

• Managing an existing portfolio of Clients within the given Territory.

">

• Maximising opportunities for new business.

">

• Managing the sales and commercial performance of the territory assigned.

">

• Building and maintaining excellent customer relationships within the sales territory to ensure all sales opportunities are maximised.

">

• Following a call plan to visit all customers in your area while being flexible and responsive to your customer's needs.

">

• Account management - maintaining relationships with customers post-sale to ensure customer satisfaction and obtain referrals.

">

• Taking ownership of the customer and their issues.

">

• Maintaining and developing your knowledge of products and services as well as industry developments.

">

What Skills You Need for this Business Development Job

">

To succeed in this role, you will need:

">

• Sales experience within the wine industry.

">

• A keen interest in wine and the wine industry.

">

• WSET qualification is a strong advantage.

">

• Excellent selling and account management skills.

">

• The ability to work independently and develop new business on your own initiative.

">

• Meet and exceed monthly sales targets in a competitive market.

">

• Be ambitious, have good negotiation skills, proactive, and energetic in developing new business.

">

• A proven team player with an excellent customer service approach, professional manner, articulate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

">

• Full, clean driver's license.

">

• Ideally reside in the proposed catchment area.

">
