Responsibilities / Tasks
GEA is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Supervisor / Engineer to join our engineering team in Naas, Co. Kildare. This role involves site supervision, commissioning and contract management for projects in the processing or similar industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background of local regulations and excellent communication skills, with the ability to supervise and manage projects from concept to completion.
* Site Supervision & Commissioning: Oversee site activities, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and manage the commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems.
* Motor Control & Instrumentation: Work with motor control systems, MCCs, and instrumentation commissioning.
* Electrical Drawings: Ability to read and follow Electrical control drawings essential.
* ATEX Installation: Support ATEX design and installation; experience in this area is an advantage but not essential and training will be given.
* Coordination: Collaborate effectively with third parties, contractors, and end users to ensure seamless project execution.
* Schedule Management: Work independently to manage schedules and deliverables, ensuring timely completion of projects.
* Electrical Design: Assist with the development of electrical designs adhering to regulations, standards, and specifications.
* Project Execution: Plan, design, budget, purchase, install, and commission electrical systems and components for projects.
Your Profile / Qualifications
* Electrical Craft / Instrument technician or other technical qualifications will be considered for candidates with significant experience.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience as a qualified Electrician / Instrument Technician preferably in the processing / food and beverage or related industries in a supervisory role.
* Knowledge of Irish / UK electrical regulations, and standards.
* Proven experience with motor control, MCCs, and instrumentation commissioning.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in written and spoken English.
* Strong Site supervision skills / Project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
* Willingness to upskill and get involved in the Electrical design and estimating of various projects.
* Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Full driving license (valid in Ireland, EU, or UK)
