The Finance Director is responsible for ensuring strong financial operations, providing business partnership to both local and regional leadership team, and acting as a trusted wingman to the Head of Region. The role plays a key part in driving financial performance, compliance, and strategic decision-making across the region, while ensuring alignment with Ellab Group's financial policies and objectives.The Finance Director is also responsible for ensuring strong alignment with Ellab Group Finance and IT by adhering to global policies, tools, and processes. The role works closely with Group Finance and Group IT to secure consistency in financial governance, systems, and data integrity across entities. Through this alignment, the Finance Director helps ensure that the international operations are fully integrated into Ellab's global financial and digital framework — driving transparency, compliance, and efficiency across the organization.Reporting LinesThe Finance Director International Region reports directly to the Group CFO (based in Denmark) and has a dotted reporting line to the Head of International Region. The International Region currently consist of UK/Ireland, Benelux and Rest of world (mainly Distributers). You will be a part of the Group Finance leadership team.As Finance Director you will lead the local teams in the international region and have local team members reporting to you. The position is based in either UK or Ireland as the largest site in region and a close collaboration with the UK/Ireland leadership team is expected.Key Responsibilities1. Financial OperationsOversee all accounting, financial reporting, and statutory compliance activities for the entities in the international region.Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to both Group Finance and local authorities.Maintain a robust internal control environment in line with Ellab Group standards (proper level of segregation, insurances etc.).Ensure effective cash flow management, balance sheet integrity, and working capital optimization.Manage external audits, tax filings, and other regulatory requirements in collaboration with local teams.Lead and develop the local finance team to deliver operational excellence and continuous improvement.2. Business PartneringAct as a key financial advisor and business partner to the regional and local leadership teams.Provide financial insights, analysis, and performance metrics to support commercial and operational decision-making.Drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes within the region.Monitor and report on business performance against KPIs and strategic objectives.Support pricing, investment, and profitability analyses to strengthen financial outcomes.3. Wingman to the Head of RegionServe as a trusted partner to the Head of Region, contributing to strategic discussions and decision-making.Challenge and support business initiatives with sound financial reasoning.Ensure alignment between regional execution and Group financial priorities.Participate actively in management meetings, representing Finance as a key strategic function.More than just a jobWe are a community dedicated to fostering a culture of inclusivity.
