Having recently successfully sourced them an experienced Retail Manager, they have once again appointed us to assist them in filling an integral role in their Retail Operations.
Are you tech-savvy, detail-focused, and ready to play a vital role in retail operations? They are currently seeking a Store Scan Specialist (SSS) to help maintain pricing accuracy and ensure the stores are running seamlessly behind the scenes.
This is a technical, customer-facing role that blends retail knowledge with IT support - perfect for someone who enjoys working with systems, solving problems, and supporting a fast-paced retail environment.
What you'll be doing:
As a Store Scan Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
* Maintaining pricing integrity across all store locations.
* Providing technical support for retail systems and basic computer troubleshooting.
* Delivering friendly, courteous, and efficient service to customers and team members - always representing company with professionalism and positivity.
* Following all Standard Operating Procedures while supporting Company core values, safety standards, and team goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure shelf tags are accurately synced with our head office system.
* Audit retail selling prices (RSPs) across stores to ensure pricing accuracy and margin compliance.
* Set up and maintain promotional pricing in the system and on the shop floor during each promotion cycle.
* Monitor and maintain tags, signs, and aisle strips regularly.
* Conduct daily price checks, signage audits, and scale price confirmations.
* Verify legal signage such as Country of Origin and product classification.
* Carry out duties for sales changeovers and support SOPs from store and regional leadership.
* Produce audit reports, flag discrepancies, and follow through with corrective actions.
* Troubleshoot scanning issues and report findings to the Grocery Leadership Team (GLT).
* Audit product weights and support Weights & Measures inspections.
* Uphold pricing and product policies, including compliance with POS codebooks.
* Assist with stocktaking and inventory-related tasks as needed.
* Support signage distribution, ordering, and accurate placement/removal.
* Provide basic IT support on Company systems and applications.

* Deliver exceptional customer service - including suggestive selling, handling queries, and providing timely assistance.
* Adhere to food safety, health, sanitation, and workplace safety practices.

* Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
* Report safety concerns immediately and follow all compliance procedures.
* Take on other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.
What you'll need to succeed
* Strong knowledge of scanning processes, retail systems, and pricing tech.
* Excellent attention to detail and basic math skills.
* Computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office and email).
* Effective communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.
* Strong time management and organisational skills.
* Positive attitude and a customer-focused mind-set.
* A solid understanding of Company quality standards and brand values.
Experience Required
* Minimum 12 months of retail experience (or equivalent technical experience in a retail setting).
