Join us, the future is ours to shapeThe Senior Global Category Manager– Clinical leads all strategic aspects within the category of Clinical Development, as well as respective outsourcing services across Sandoz, on a global level and develops proposals for strategic business decisions. The role provides high value and multi-year procurement solutions to the business and category strategies; supports third party vendor selection, vendor development, technology management and performance measurement activities. The Sr. Category Manager Clinical ensures best-in-class delivery of external services and products in the respective sub-categories to support projects and to realize year-on-year productivity improvements, cost savings, and process improvements in close collaboration with the stakeholders in the business.Your Key ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities include, but not limited to:Implement global category strategies at local levelSupervise the implementation of sourcing plans for the sub-category & deliver (sub-)category savings targets following engagement in the target setting process.Lead Category segmentation and identification of key supplier relationships, directly control purchases with respect to supplier choice, timing and commercial conditions on a global and local basisManage strategic (sub-)category supplier relationships and implement consistent key performance indicators for the sub-category, and report on suppliers' performance.Collect supplier information and feedback from Divisions, countries, sites, Category teams and Business Partners, and deliver Procurement Balanced Scorecard metrics for the relevant (sub-)category.Create, apply, complete and reviews major contracts for the sub-category and ensure that negotiated contracts are clearly communicated for the (sub-) category area and that they are consistently applied Cross -Divisional.Manage strategic (sub-)category supplier relationships and implement consistent key performance indicators for the sub-category, ensuring that any supplier performance risks and issues are resolved on a timely basis to end-user satisfaction.Essential RequirementsWhat you'll bring to the role:Master's Degree/other advanced degree in Lifesciences, Pharmaceutical Science, Economics, Finance or related areas is preferred.English (excellence in speaking and writing), additional languages desirable.10 years of relevant business experience in the pharmaceutical industry5 years of Procurement expertise in category management, strategic sourcing, supplier management with a focus on Clinical Development - R&D specifically.Track record of successfully leading and delivering Procurement transformation and value acceleration programmes, as well as spend optimisation programmes such as Strategic Supplier partnering programs.Skilled in managing a geographically dispersed teams and solid experience in working in a virtual teamProven track record of setting up and negotiating complex and multi-year outsourcing dealsExperience in senior stakeholder managementYou'll ReceiveCompetitive salary, Annual bonus, Pension scheme, Health insurance, Flexible working arrangements, Employee recognition scheme, learning and development opportunities.Why Sandoz?Generic and Biosimilar medicines are the backbone of the global medicines industry.
