Site Administrator – Athlone (6-Month Contract)
A leading public sector body is seeking an experienced Site Administrator to support the delivery of a major flood alleviation project in Athlone, Co. Westmeath. This is a fixed-term contract position for approximately six months, with an immediate start.
Location: Athlone, Co. Westmeath
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30–16:30
Duration: Approx. 6 months
Contract Type: Temporary
Rate: Competitive hourly rate (DOE)
About the Project
The role supports a large-scale civil engineering scheme involving flood defence infrastructure, including reinforced concrete works, flood walls, pumping stations, and associated civil works. The project is delivered by a direct labour team supported by specialist subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
The Site Administrator will provide comprehensive on-site administrative support across the following areas:
Health & Safety
1. Maintain registers for RAMS, SSWP, training records, and subcontractor documentation
2. Liaise with subcontractors regarding safety statements, insurance, and compliance
Financial & Procurement
3. Track and report project expenditure
4. Maintain procurement and delivery records
5. Assist in managing price competitions and tender documentation
Document Control & Technical Support
6. Maintain registers for drawings, RFIs, and site equipment calibration
7. Distribute technical reports and correspondence to project stakeholders
General Administration
8. Process time cards, weekly logs, and meeting minutes
9. Maintain site filing systems, monitor correspondence, and archive records
10. Manage PPE and plant registers, and ensure documentation is up to date
Candidate Requirements:
11. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry
12. Strong data entry and administrative background
13. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
14. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
15. Ability to manage multiple tasks and liaise with internal and external stakeholders
16. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
