Role Description
The Customs and Logistics Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Cork City, responsible for managing day-to-day customs and freight operations.
Essential Job Functions
Deals directly with clients, customs and agents to ensure the quickest and best movement of cargo throughout the world.
Prepares custom documents necessary to complete export, import and customs clearance process
Track and trace cargo
Communicate & correspond with other Company branches and agents for customer satisfaction, and ensure excellent service execution.
Seek the most profitable mode of shipment, yet meet customer’s requirement for the movement of freight.
Ensure compliance in line with company and industry policies
Qualifications
Strong Analytical Skills to interpret shipment data, customs requirements, and logistics KPIs, and to support problem-solving in time-sensitive situations.
Excellent Communication skills to interact clearly and professionally with customers, carriers, customs authorities, and internal teams.
Proven Customer Service abilities, including responsiveness, solution-focused support, and maintaining positive relationships under pressure.
Knowledge of Supply Chain Management principles, particularly in freight forwarding, customs clearance, and multimodal transport.
Previous experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or logistics operations (road, sea, or multimodal) is highly beneficial.
Familiarity with customs systems, documentation, and EU/UK import–export regulations is an advantage.
Proficiency in standard office software and logistics platforms; strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work on-site in Cork, manage competing priorities, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
