Location
This is a remote, field-based role that requires extensive travel across the Island of Ireland, visiting key regional accounts, distributors, and on-trade partners.
The position will also include ad hoc evening and weekend work as required.
What You'll Do
As our new
Sales Manager, Glendalough Distillery
you will lead the commercial strategy and execution for Glendalough Distillery across the Island of Ireland.
This field-based sales role is a pivotal, hands-on position focused on establishing Ireland as our showcase home market.
You will drive sales, distribution, visibility, and premium brand presence across On Trade, Retail, and Wholesale channels.
Additional key responsibilities include
:
Own and execute the Irish market sales strategy for Glendalough Distillery, delivering annual budget, volume, and profitability targets across all channels.
Lead national and regional account negotiations, including pricing, trading terms, and Joint Business Plans (JBPs) to achieve commercial goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners across On-Trade, Retail, and Wholesale, driving sustainable growth.
Develop and refine the route-to-market strategy, optimizing partnerships and ensuring consistent execution across distributors and trade customers.
Drive distribution, visibility, and rate of sale by implementing promotional programs, activations, and brand campaigns in collaboration with Marketing and Trade Marketing teams.
Monitor and report on performance metrics, market trends, competitor activity, and consumer insights to inform strategy and identify opportunities for growth.
Manage sales forecasting, reporting, and budget oversight, ensuring effective use of resources and alignment with commercial objectives.
Represent Glendalough Distillery as a brand ambassador at events, tastings, and industry forums, showcasing the brand's premium positioning and story.
Manage, mentor, and coach the Business Development Representative(s) to deliver sales excellence, capability growth, and strong in-market execution.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, Sales, Management, or related field.
10+ years' experience in spirits or premium beverage sales, with proven success across On-Trade, Retail, and Wholesale channels in the Irish market.
Strong record of national and regional account management, including commercial negotiations and delivery of Joint Business Plans (JBPs).
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and coach team members to achieve high performance and commercial results.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to represent premium brands in market.
Full clean drivers license and travel across Ireland as needed
