Structural Engineering Opportunities
We are seeking talented structural engineers with experience to join our dynamic team. With an expanding workload across various sectors, we can offer the successful candidates broad experience in a wide range of public and private sector projects.
The ideal candidate will be involved in the design of structures, working on the preparation and review of structural analysis and design calculations, assisting with the preparation and review of drawings for conceptual and detailed design, as well as undertaking regular site visits to ensure construction is executed in compliance with the design.
Key Responsibilities
* A strong analytical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles.
* Demonstrable buildings-focused structural engineering design skills.
* A desire to work constructively in a team, finding holistic building design solutions in a multidiscipline environment.
* Performing site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, quality, and adherence to specifications.
* Ability to understand commercial implications of design decisions and desire to strive for efficient structural solutions.
* IT skills and experience in the use of MS Office. Experience in CAD and structural analysis software is an added advantage.
* The ability to communicate clearly, through sketching, speaking and in writing.
* Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to balance tasks and prioritise to meet strict deadlines.
Requirements
* At least 3 to 6 years structural engineering experience.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Minimum Level 8 Civil / Structural Engineering Degree (Hons) and working towards Chartered status with Engineers Ireland.
* Customer-focused with growing client relationship management skills.
* Ability to mentor junior staff in developing their own technical expertise.
* Display leadership qualities and a desire to develop client relationships.
* A current driver's licence is desirable.
