About the RoleThis established aircraft lessor is expanding their presence in Ireland.They are seeking an experienced VP Powerplant to join the Technical team in Dublin. This senior role will provide technical oversight and engine asset management services for a fleet of managed aircraft and spare engine portfolio.ResponsibilitiesAircraft Transitions:Advise on lease negotiations regarding engine delivery/redelivery conditions and maintenance reserves.Provide technical support during aircraft transitions and review engine health data and boroscope inspections.Assist with end-of-lease financial adjustments related to engines.Shop Visit Management:Review and approve shop visit workscopes and documentation to ensure compliance with lease agreements.Represent the company at shop inspections and evaluate material exchange proposals.Calculate maintenance reserve claims and identify cost-saving opportunities.Strategic Asset Management:Develop strategies to optimize engine portfolio value and support long-term business objectives.Provide input on lifecycle planning and risk mitigation.Investment & Financial Acumen:Collaborate with finance teams on asset performance analysis and valuation.Contribute to investment decisions and cost optimization strategies.Additional Duties:Forecast engine maintenance events and monitor technical issues impacting asset values.Negotiate MRO agreements and maintain strong relationships with OEMs and MROs.QualificationsDegree in Engineering, Aviation Management, or equivalent; Licensed Engineer preferred.Minimum 7 years' experience in airline or leasing company roles related to aircraft engines.Strong knowledge of engine maintenance processes and major engine types (LEAP, GTF, CFM, V2500, GE, PW, RR).Experience in the aircraft leasing industry is an advantage.Required SkillsCollaborative team player with excellent problem-solving skills.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects under pressure.Flexible and adaptable with the ability to travel at short notice.Only applications that meet the criteria will be considered for the position.Peak Performance Recruitment Ltd.
