Excel Recruitment are recruiting an experienced Facilities & Engineering Manager for a well-established 4-star hotel in the Meath / Kildare area. This is a senior onsite role, responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all engineering and building services across a large luxury estate. As well as overseeing a significant upgrade and expansion project.
This position will suit a technically strong manager who enjoys being hands-on when needed, while also taking a strategic view of compliance, asset planning, sustainability, and continuous improvement in a guest-focused environment.

Responsibilities of the Facilities & Engineering Manager
7. Lead all mechanical, electrical, and building services operations
8. Manage planned preventative and reactive maintenance programmes
9. Ensure full compliance with health, safety, fire, electrical, water, and environmental regulations
10. Act as technical lead for audits, inspections, and statutory requirements
11. Oversee contractors, service agreements, and engineering budgets
12. Support capital projects, upgrades, and refurbishment works
13. Lead and develop the facilities and maintenance team
14. Drive energy efficiency, sustainability, and continuous improvement
Requirements of the Facilities & Engineering Manager
15. Degree or qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or similar)
16. Trade background with strong M&E management experience also considered
17. Proven experience in facilities or engineering management within hospitality, commercial, healthcare, or industrial environments
18. Strong knowledge of HVAC, BMS, power, plant, and compliance standards
19. Confident leader with budget, contractor, and project management experience
