About the role
We are looking for someone with a hands-on approach to specify equipment that meets our customer's needs, enjoys working with a diverse range of clients and colleagues, and thrives on the autonomy to manage and deliver multiple projects at the same time.
What will I be doing?
As a Chemfeed Engineer you will have a diverse workload and will obtain tremendous job satisfaction from the impact you make.
Work on projects often requiring independent decision making.
Scope chemical monitoring and dosing equipment installation for new build and replacement opportunities.
Participate in customer site visits to design chemical dosing solutions while assessing the product, pressure and flow requirements.
Work with current account managers and customers to identify technical solution for their site, always being aware of commercially acceptable methods.
Support the Management Of Change (MOC) Process.
Supports commissioning activities and/or implementation of systems at customer locations.
Coordinate support resources to deliver projects on or below budget.
Considering onsite restrictions or operation approaches.
Manage customer satisfaction levels and escalate any customer concerns.
Manage multiple projects in varying levels of execution and project value.
Coordinate proposal activity reports.
Participate and be proactive as a local member of the ChemFeed Team with execution improvement suggestions.
Work is conducted at Commercial and Industrial sites, on a regional basis, covering the full spectrum of water treatment assets – from Cooling Towers, Effluent, Reverse Osmosis, Steam Plant and many others.
Inquiry to Order (ITO) - Process Requirements
Review Chemfeed Qualifier (CFQ) and innovation template for technical information for desired outcome from proposal – typically from an Account Manager or Operations Team Member.
Arrange site visit to survey potential application area to review any existing application equipment, assets to be treated and any local restrictions or relevant site data.
Review desired water treatment programme with the Account Manager and Product Applications for suitable dosing points, dose rates, chemical compatibility etc.
Use previous engineering reviews/work scopes and clarify with Chemfeed lead and/or Account Manager.
Produce working drawings/sketches to describe proposed solutions.
Request third party installation cost quotes.
Determine material requirement and request quotes for items not on Standard SAP list.
Generate Costing Sheet to supply to the Account Manager, for them to incorporate in a final proposal.
Support Account Manager with enquiries and the final sell of the project.
Store all documentation in central Cloud Storage System.
Order to Remittance (OTR) - Process Requirements
Validate Order Scope – comparing to original proposal scope.
Validate costs and sell prices.
Obtain valid offers from suppliers for out of date quotes.
Complete Material Requisition for site and sub-contract delivery.
Send quotes, costing sheet, customer PI & requisition to customer services.
Attend Kick-off meetings, validating project plan, reviewing proposed RAMS...
Manage project plan.
Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (where requested).
Attend Site Acceptance Test.
Produce commissioning report and handover documentation for the account manager and the customer.
Store all documentation in central Cloud Storage System.
Qualifications
Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience.
Working experience as a Chemical feed / Project / Installation Engineer in this or a similar field.
Proven experience running installation projects.
Availability to travel up to 60% of the working week within your assigned area, with travel further afield as per operational requirements.
Candidate must hold a valid Irish driving license.
AutoCAD skills preferred.
MS Project experience or similar Project Management system experience.
