Overview
We are seeking two dedicated Health & Safety Officers to join our client's team within a fast-paced pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The successful candidates will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, ensuring compliance with legislation, and supporting a culture of continuous safety improvement.
Position 1: Health & Safety Officer
Qualifications & Experience:
* Minimum Level 8 qualification in Health & Safety (or equivalent).
* 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within pharmaceutical, life sciences, or manufacturing sectors.
* Strong knowledge of Irish and EU health & safety legislation, codes of practice, and industry best practice.
* Demonstrated experience in incident investigation, risk assessment, and policy implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and coordinate the site's Health & Safety management systems.
* Develop, implement, and review policies and procedures in line with legislation.
* Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections, ensuring timely corrective actions.
* Provide guidance and training to managers and employees on HSE best practices.
* Act as the primary point of contact with external regulatory bodies.
* Drive continuous improvement in safety culture and practices.
Position 2: Health & Safety Officer (Development Role)
Qualifications & Experience:
* Minimum Level 7 qualification in Health & Safety (or equivalent) and actively working towards Level 8.
* 2 to 3 years' relevant experience in health & safety, preferably within pharmaceuticals or manufacturing.
* Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and workplace safety regulations.
* Strong communication and organisational skills with a proactive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the development and implementation of HSE policies and procedures.
* Assist in risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.
* Monitor workplace practices and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety awareness campaigns.
* Collaborate with senior HSE staff to identify and implement safety improvements.
