Job Description
As a Lead Grade Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive social work services to children and young people (0–18 years) and their families.
* Plan and manage a caseload, undertaking assessments and interventions collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.
* Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to staff grade social workers and students, promoting professional growth and development.
* Take a lead role in service planning, innovation, and development within the social work discipline, driving excellence and best practices.
* Delegate tasks effectively and support the professional development of junior staff members, fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual support.
* Work closely with families and other agencies, including TUSLA and CAMHS, to ensure seamless care coordination and integrated service delivery.
* Represent the social work discipline at internal and external meetings, upholding high standards of professionalism and ethical practice.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Registration in the Social Work Register maintained by the Social Work Registration Board at CORU.
* Maintenance of live annual registration on the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU.
* Requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office, including a high standard of suitability, professional, and managerial ability.
* Three years relevant post-qualification experience, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality social work services.
