Our client is a leading manufacturing company operating in a high-volume production environment, serving regulated sectors including healthcare and engineering.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to drive Environmental, Health & Safety compliance and continuous improvement across the site, promoting a strong safety culture and best practice standards across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with Irish EHS legislation, including HSA and EPA requirements
Maintain and improve ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems
Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, audits, and inspections
Manage contractor safety, permit-to-work systems, and EHS training programmes
Support engineering projects and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from an EHS perspective.
Monitor EHS performance, KPIs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in EHS, Engineering, Science, or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years' EHS experience within a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of Irish HSA regulations, EPA compliance, and ISO 14001/ISO 45001 standards
QQI Level 6 Train the Trainer qualification (or equivalent)
Experience within injection moulding, plastics manufacturing, or a similar high-volume production environment is advantageous.
