Job Opportunity: Part-Time Accounts Assistant

We are seeking a motivated finance professional to join our team on a permanent basis as a Part-Time Accounts Assistant.

This is an excellent opportunity to take on a varied and rewarding role with flexible working hours (20 hours per week across 4 or 5 days).

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business, managing accounts administration, credit control, and stock system maintenance.


Key Responsibilities:

* Managing accounts payable and receivable functions
* Performing bank reconciliations
* Processing payments and maintaining the billing system
* Maintaining and updating the stock management system, including price updates and stock take support
* Handling expenses, bank lodgements, and credit notes
* Supporting invoicing and resolving billing queries
* Coordinating admin tasks and supporting sales/order processing
* Managing internal and external finance-related queries
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and third-party vendors
* Providing occasional support to other departments as required


Requirements:

* Previous experience in an accounts or finance-related role
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Sage is an advantage
* Comfortable working independently in a small team environment
* High level of accuracy and strong organisational skills
* Proactive and enthusiastic self-starter with a hands-on approach
