Role Overview
As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Quality Inspector to join our Technical Advisory Services team based in Dublin, London, or South East England.
In this role, you will take on a variety of responsibilities across a diverse range of projects, including contributing to raising standards and fostering a culture of compliance within the construction industry—delivering lasting benefits to all industry stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will come from a trade-related background, such as carpentry or similar, with an excellent general knowledge of construction methodologies, detailing, and quality standards.
Experience in carrying out quality inspections would be beneficial, but construction delivery experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Acting as the lead on multiple projects, you will collaborate with project stakeholders such as clients, designers, and builders, to promote Catalyst’s mission of raising standards and ensuring compliance in the construction industry.
Responsibilities include:
* Carrying out on-site quality inspections
* Performing quality monitoring and Clerk of Works inspections
* Conducting snagging and de-snagging inspections
* Attending site and client meetings as needed
* Reporting progress of inspections and snagging to clients
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with building owners, project managers, builders, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to Catalyst’s quality processes
* Sharing expertise and lessons learned with colleagues
* Traveling to other UK cities for project work
* Occasional travel to Ireland
Mandatory Requirements/Experiences
* Trade-related background; members of ICWCI preferred
* Demonstrated experience in construction within your trade
* Proficiency in IT (laptops and mobile devices)
* A genuine passion for improving quality in construction
* Ability to work collaboratively and drive high performance
* Self-management skills and initiative-driven
* Authorization to work in the UK
