for a leading consultancy based in Dublin. This is a strategic opportunity for a QS who wants to move beyond transactional roles and into true project leadership.

As
Senior Quantity Surveyor
, you'll manage a diverse portfolio of building projects from early feasibility through to final account. The role spans traditional quantity surveying, contractual advisory, and close collaboration with senior project stakeholders. You'll play a key role in ensuring cost certainty, managing risk, supporting value engineering initiatives, and delivering tailored solutions for clients across the private and public sectors.
As
Intermediate Quantity Surveyor
, you'll support senior leadership across complex projects while taking ownership of your own work packages. You will gain exposure to cost plans, BOQs, tender analysis, valuations, and final accounts, as well as contract administration under GCCC and RIAI. This is the ideal step for a QS with 4–7 years' experience to build their technical expertise, partner with clients, and progress quickly within a respected consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
Senior Quantity Surveyor
• Pre- and Post-Contract Services: Deliver end-to-end cost management including estimates, BOQs, procurement, tender reviews, valuations, and final accounts.
• Client Partnership: Act as a trusted commercial advisor to clients, funders, developers, and legal professionals throughout the lifecycle of a project.
• Procurement & Contract Management: Advise on contractor appointment, draft contracts, and administer variations and claims under GCCC and other standard forms.
• Project Leadership: Lead cost strategy on multiple concurrent developments, working with project managers, architects, and legal advisors.
• Value & Risk Management: Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and support resolution of contractual or financial risks.
• Mentoring & Oversight: Support the development of junior staff and maintain rigorous technical standards across all deliverables.
• Specialist Advisory: Provide expert input on areas such as construction finance, insolvency support, taxation assessments, insurance, and dispute resolution when required.
Intermediate Quantity Surveyor
• Assist with cost plans, BOQs, tender analysis, valuations, and final accounts across multiple projects.
• Support contract administration under GCCC and RIAI, including variations and claims.
• Interface with project managers, design teams, contractors, and client representatives to maintain cost control and reporting cadence.
• Contribute to value engineering, risk reviews, and clear client communications.
Qualifications and Competencies
Senior Quantity Surveyor – Essential Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
• Minimum 8–10 years' experience in a PQS or consultancy environment.
• Proven delivery experience across complex building developments in the Irish market.
• Expert knowledge of Irish construction contracts including GCCC and RIAI.
• Strong report writing and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience providing financial oversight for commercial, residential, healthcare or hospitality projects.
• Advanced skills in cost planning software, Excel, and MS Office Suite.
• Thorough understanding of Irish building legislation and procurement practices.
Intermediate Quantity Surveyor – Essential Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
• 4–7 years' experience in a PQS or consultancy environment in Ireland.
• Solid knowledge of Irish contracts and procurement, with growing confidence in client-facing settings.
• Strong Excel and cost planning software skills, plus accurate reporting and attention to detail.
