The Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO) will provide strategic and operational leadership for the development, implementation and optimisation of clinical information systems that support nursing and the wider clinical multidisciplinary teams.
The post holder serves as a vital link between clinical practice and digital technology, translating clinical needs into the digital strategy, ensuring the effective use of technology to enhance patient care, improve clinical workflows and optimise patient outcomes.
The post holder will be a transformational leader with excellent clinical credibility.
He/she will be required to provide expert clinical advice and engage with key stakeholders to ensure patient and clinical involvement as the hospital progresses with implementation of the national Electronic Healthcare Record.
He/she will demonstrate understanding and passion about using digital technology to support clinicians in transforming patient care and experience.
