Our client, a growing international organisation, who is based in Athlone,is looking to hire an ambitious,newly qualifiedaccountant to join their finance team in a newly createdManagement Accountantrole. It is a full time permanent position. Hybrid work arrangements available after 6 months, post successful probation.
In this role, you would be responsible for supporting the full accounting cycle, providing insightful financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.
Responsibilities
Prepare and post journals, reconcile key balance sheet accounts
Manage accruals, prepayments, and supplier payments
Conduct month-end performance reviews and variance analysis
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
Serve as a point of contact for internal and external auditors
Prepare VAT returns and adhere to group policies
Maintain supporting schedules and accurate financial records
Work with large data sets to extract and analyse relevant financial information
Requirements
Must be a qualified accountant with at least 2 years post-qualified experience
Strong accounting skills and knowledge of accounting principles
Proficient in MS Excel and experienced with ERP/accounting software
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Excellent communication skills for engaging with non-finance teams
