We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our team on a contract basis.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular site inspections, identifying hazards, and implementing corrective actions. They will also be required to investigate incidents, provide training and guidance to colleagues, and promote a culture of safety awareness across the organization.
Main Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
* Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents to determine root causes and implement preventive measures
* Provide training and guidance to colleagues on safety protocols and best practices
* Promote a culture of safety awareness across the organization
* Liaise with management, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Level 7 qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent. Additionally, you should have at least 3 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of construction methods, site management, and construction design processes.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* Level 7 qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent
* At least 3 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of construction methods, site management, and construction design processes
* Experience working on river/flood defence projects would be an advantage
* Current SafePass Card and valid driving licence
