Senior Civil Engineer – Position
The successful candidate will join an established team with senior support and will have the opportunity to lead high value and high complexity projects. Location: Galway office (we will also consider Dublin and Portlaoise).
Responsibilities
Project lead for design & contract management of projects from conceptual phase through to project completion (energy projects including power plants, renewables, pipelines and installations, industrial buildings & utilities).
Statutory compliance for new developments such as planning, fire certificate and DAC applications, IPC license requirements.
Building control compliance and design in accordance with building regulations.
Design requirements for energy projects such as Solar, Hydro, CHP and Power Stations.
Design of other energy infrastructure related projects.
Leading a team of engineers with responsibility for delivering projects, managing performance and developing competency.
Qualifications
Civil Engineering degree (Honours bachelor’s degree or higher).
7+ years post-graduate and relevant design experience. CEng would be beneficial but not essential.
Understanding and experience with Eurocodes, Irish Building Regulations, and local authority planning standards.
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Good academic record.
Full clean driving licence and own transport required.
Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
