Speech and Language Therapist, Staff Grade — Galway, Ireland.
Full time, Temporary.
Organization
Enable Ireland provides services to children and adults with disabilities and their families across 43 locations in 14 counties.
The post is part of the Children's Disability Network Teams (CDNT) under the Progressing Disabilities Services (PDS) model for children and young people with complex needs arising from a disability.
Responsibilities
The post holder will provide a range of Speech and Language Therapy services for young people (0–18 years) and their families within an interdisciplinary framework.
Services include assessment and intervention, clinical supervision, and ongoing service development delivered through a family-centred approach across settings including clinics, preschools, schools, children's homes and community settings.
Specific duties to be confirmed in the Job Description include:
Interdisciplinary team working.
Experience in the 0–18 years' age group.
Post-qualification experience in paediatric disability settings.
Any relevant postgraduate training specific to child disability services.
Experience in conducting assessments of need.
Interest in Assistive Technology.
Qualifications and Requirements
Be registered, or be eligible for registration, as a Speech and Language Therapist by the CORU Registration Board.
Have the requisite knowledge and ability for the discharge of duties as a Speech and Language Therapist.
Provide proof of statutory registration on CORU before appointment; maintain annual registration thereafter.
Confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland (PSAC).
Be eligible to work in the state.
Contract and Remuneration
Contract Type: 12 months fixed term.
Contract Hours: 35 hours per week.
Salary Scale: €42,384 to €61,945 pro rata per annum (subject to Long Service Increments).
Annual Leave Entitlement: 32 days.
