Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our lending operations, ensuring effective management and oversight of lending activities. This full-time role is based in Dublin West and involves working closely with the day-to-day operations of the lending team.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with strong lending experience to contribute to a team that values collaboration and growth.
The ideal candidate will have flexibility to work in other nearby locations, once per week, and may include one late evening per week.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead and support a high-performing lending team, providing guidance and oversight across lending activities.
* Review and process loan applications received online, by phone, and in-branch, ensuring compliance with internal lending policies and financial regulations.
* Manage risk and contribute to the continuous improvement of lending procedures.
* Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and onboarding of new team members.
* Act as deputy to the Head of Lending when required, including supervision of lending operations.
* Monitor performance metrics, ensuring timely loan processing and quality outcomes.
Requirements:
* QFA or APA in Lending (essential).
* Minimum 5 years experience in a lending, credit, or underwriting role, ideally with some leadership exposure.
* Excellent knowledge of lending policies, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Ability to lead and support a team, with a collaborative and member-focused mindset.
* Mortgage lending experience is desirable but not essential.
