The role of an Export Compliance Specialist is to ensure that our client's export control and compliance processes are robust and effective. The Export Compliance Specialist will work independently to build and maintain a comprehensive compliance framework, overseeing and managing export documentation, licensing, and classification processes.
This includes performing internal export compliance audits, ensuring readiness for external audits, and maintaining proper record-keeping and traceability for shipments, technology transfers, and export authorisations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy, as well as knowledge of EU and U.S. export control regulations.
The Export Compliance Specialist will also deliver export compliance training and awareness sessions to production and operational staff, and support the classification of products for customs and export control. Additionally, this role involves staying up-to-date with changes in international trade regulations and providing proactive guidance to the business.
To be successful in this role, you will need experience in export control, compliance auditing, or trade regulations, and a strong understanding of electronics, high-tech manufacturing, or logistics. You should also be able to communicate complex information effectively and work comfortably in a small team environment.
