O'Flynn's Gourmet Sausage Company is a well-established food business who has been feeding the people of Cork for over 10 decades. We are looking for a full-time Events Manager to join our management team.
We are seeking an experienced individual to oversee all aspects of O'Flynn's Gourmet Sausage Company's Corporate, Events & Festival (CEF) catering services.
The role will be responsible for the hands on management of the day-to-day catering operations, ensuring high quality food and beverage service, HACCP, Health and Safety compliance and building strong relationships with catering clients.
Catering/ Chef Manager will play a key role in the planning, organizing and execution of CEF business while maintaining cost efficiency and client satisfaction. This position requires the successful candidate to be onsite, present and hands on during all events. The position require the successful candidate to manage events on some weekends throughout the year.
Job Description:
* Create a calendar for CEF operations to take bookings and forecast revenue.
* Work with marketing team to develop strategies for securing new business
* Manage materials, packaging, HR and raw materials such that all materials are available to meet Events & Corporate requirements on a timely basis
* Reporting – including, ordering and recording of all stock required for Events & Corporate, including asset management/maintenance in conjunction with the operations manager.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with CEF clients, understanding their preferences and customizing services to meet their specific needs.
* Collaborate with production manager to create enhanced menu offerings that cater for a variety of dietary preferences and corporate themed events.
* Prepare cost estimates, manage food costs, and ensure profitability while maintaining high service standards.
* Recruit, lead and manage catering staff and ensure staff are trained in all aspects of food safety in compliance with local health and safety regulations and OFGSC standards.

Essential requirements:
· HACCP Trained- With cooking experience
· Full Clean Driver's License
· Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.
· Experience in the Catering- Restaurant or Hospitality industry essential .
· ENGLISH (fluent) - written and verbal.
· Must have the right to live and work within Ireland
· Must be mechanically minded & process oriented.
· Dynamic "hands-on" individual prepared to take initiative & responsibility a must.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
· Good PC Literacy
· Must have demonstrated organised work methods
· Honest, Hardworking, punctual, reliable team player is essential.
· Good eye for detail a distinct advantage

· Flexible to work overtime when needed

Pay: €40,000.00-€45,000.00 per year
