Job Description:
Due to the growth of our Monoclonal pipeline, Eli Lilly & Company has invested in a new facility in Ireland, Lilly Limerick. To support this, we are looking for talented individuals to join our team and help establish Lilly Limerick as a reliable supplier of innovative medicines, aligning with our mission to improve lives.
Overview:
The Bioprocess Scientist will provide technical support for advanced downstream manufacturing processes at the new Limerick site, from start-up to routine operations. The role requires deep expertise in downstream bioprocessing, data-driven decision making, and leveraging digital plant technologies for process insights.
Note:
We are hiring for multiple roles. Some will be based at the new Limerick site, while others will initially be located in Lilly Kinsale, Cork, for up to 6 months before relocating.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Understand the science of downstream bioprocesses, control strategies, and critical attributes.
2. Collaborate with quality assurance, operations, and engineering teams, bringing technical expertise and scientific rigor.
3. Use process monitoring tools to make data-driven decisions ensuring process robustness.
4. Generate scientific reports, technical documentation, and contribute to regulatory submissions.
5. Apply basic statistical methods for specifications, validation, tech transfer, and batch data analysis.
6. Integrate process parameters with MES/electronic batch records to meet regulatory and compliance standards.
