Temporary Research Support Officer Job Purpose We are seeking a Temporary Online Research Assistant for a 3month contract to join a Research Department. The successful candidate will support the collection, cleaning, and management of EU Agencies' data under the guidance of research officers and managers. The role also involves supporting outreach to other agencies' data experts, assisting with the organisation of expert meetings and peer-review exercises, and contributing to reporting and closure of activities under the contribution agreement. Additional tasks may be assigned by the Head of Unit as required. Main Responsibilities The Temporary Research Assistant will support team members and project leaders in collecting, cleaning, managing, and analysing data to ensure the timely completion of projects. Key duties include: Searching for available datasets related to fair transition across EU Agencies' websites Identifying relevant indicators aligned with the conceptual framework of the platform Preparing datasets and conducting basic data analysis using EU Agencies' data Structuring datasets for upload and integration into the data lakehouse infrastructure Performing quality control checks on data provided Supporting quantitative analysis and data management activities Assisting with expert outreach, meetings, and peer-review processes Supporting reporting and administrative closure of project activities Desired Academic Background Relevant academic qualification in economics, sociology, statistics, business management, or related social sciences Desired Skills Good IT skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong editing and drafting skills in English Experience conducting desk research (e.g. internet searches, screening policy documents) Experience performing basic quantitative analysis using Python, R/RStudio, or other statistical software
