We are currently hiring a Staff Nurse – IV Unit for a hospital in Galway, Ireland.
Position Details: Job Title: Staff Nurse – IV Unit Location: Galway, Ireland Employment Type: Permanent/Part-Time Working Hours: 24 hours per week Key Responsibilities Deliver nursing care and treatments to the highest standard in accordance with agreed policies, procedures, and guidelines Participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care using the nursing process, maintaining accurate and appropriate records Support and implement effective discharge planning based on individual patient care needs Administer medications, including IV drugs, blood/blood products, and controlled drugs, in line with policies and best practices Monitor and document patients following medication administration, reporting any adverse events or medication errors promptly Adhere to best practice guidelines for infection prevention and control, managing and reporting infections in line with policy Work collaboratively with the Infection Control Nurse and multidisciplinary team Ensure safe handling and disposal of medical waste in accordance with hospital policies Requirements Ability to work effectively as part of a team, delivering a high-quality service Personally and professionally accountable for patient care Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification with active NMBI registration Be registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by NMBI Post-registration nursing experience, preferably in an acute medical setting Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Flexible approach to work patterns, with willingness to rotate across shifts/days Benefits Top pay and great working conditions Immediate Start, Part-Time Permanent Great professional development opportunity Continued education and training.
