This is a new role created to support our growing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the smooth financial operations of the company.Key Responsibilities:• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including data entry of invoices, receipts, payments and price files.• Reconciling bank statements and credit card accounts.• Maintaining ledgers and recording all financial transactions accurately.• Assisting with VAT returns.• Supporting month-end and year-end closing procedures.• Preparing financial reports and summaries as required.• Liaising with external accountants and auditors.• Ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.• Assisting with inventory management and stock control.Qualifications and Skills:• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.• Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks).• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.• Good organisational and time management skills.• Strong understanding of VAT and other relevant tax regulations.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.Personal Attributes:• Reliable and trustworthy.• Proactive and solution oriented.• Good communication skills.• Discreet with sensitive financial information.
