As our business grows, we're looking for a Workshop Controller to join our close-knit aftersales team.
Role Overview
As a Workshop Controller, you will lead a team of skilled technicians, ensuring high standards of workmanship and efficiency across all vehicle servicing and repair tasks. You'll play a key role in maintaining workshop productivity, mentoring junior staff, and upholding our commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Ideally, you will be a fully qualified motor technician / master tech with previous experience in managing in a busy workshop environment. Role Responsibilities
s Supervise day-to-day activity in the workshop
s Allocate jobs and manage workflow efficiently with the Service Advisor
s Carry out diagnostics, repairs, and servicing as needed
s Manage all warranty claims in an timely, efficient and compliant manner
s Ensure all work meets health, safety, and quality standards
s Support and mentor technicians and apprentices
s Communicate effectively with service advisor and management
s Achieve budget goals in relation to labour Sales and Productivity
s Maintain service records and ensure compliance with manufacturer and dealership standards
s Any other tasks that may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis
Key Requirements
s Fully qualified Vehicle Technician
s Previous experience in a busy workshop environment
s Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills across a wide range of vehicles
s Previous leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable
s Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills
s Full Irish/EU driving licence
s Ability to multitask and work in fast-paced environment
s A team player with a can-do attitude
s A genuine passion for delivering top-level customer service
