The University has a significant role in developing and enhancing academic excellence in teaching, research and innovation to drive improved health for the population. The primary aspiration of the partnership between clinical service and academia is to develop excellence in interdisciplinary research & research governance across Dublin and Midlands region. This post has been established to provide senior administrative leadership to the research ethics committee for the HSE Dublin and Midlands region and to establish the research office for Dublin and Midlands. To enable development of research governance and other supports that grow the research profile of the region and its health care professionals in collaboration with the regions academic partner, Trinity College Dublin (TCD). The research programme manager will be based in HSE Dublin Midlands and The School of Medicine, TCD via the Clinical Academic Officer (CAO). This post has been established, as a collaboration between National HSE Research and Development (R&D), School of Medicine, Trinity College, acting through its CRF at SJH and HSE Dublin and Midlands. This collaborative partnership aims to co-design, test and implement a model for the cohesive implementation of the HSE National Framework for Research Governance, Management and Support (RGMS) within the prospective HSE Dublin & Midlands Health Region as part of the HSE Health Regions Implementation Plan (July 2023). Post status: Specific Purpose Contract This post will provide administrative support to the Research Ethics Committee for the HSE Dublin and Midlands region. It will also support the structured development and implementation of research governance frameworks and related supports in collaboration with Trinity College Dublin. This role is not permanent as it will support a defined, time-limited project involving the initial development, structuring, and implementation of research governance frameworks and administrative processes for the Research Ethics Committee within the HSE Dublin and Midlands region as part implementation of the HSE National Framework for Research Governance, Management and Support (RGMS) Hours of Post: 35 hours per week Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative 1 (Points 1-3), Salary Scale (€70,942 - €91,774 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales.
