We are seeking an experienced Payroll and Accounts Specialist to join our team in Cavan. The successful candidate will have a strong background in payroll, accounts payable, and receivable.
Main Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with the team to meet strict payroll deadlines and take full responsibility for the entire payroll function.
* Collate timesheets for processing and cross-check information received.
* Process Payroll, submit Revenue Returns & discharge payment.
* Maintain accurate records of all payroll functions.
* Enter Payroll Journals into accounts systems.
* Respond to employee queries regarding payroll matters.
* Interpret company policies and government regulations affecting payroll procedures.
* Manage accounts payable invoices and reconcile supplier statements.
* Prepare weekly/monthly supplier payments.
* Ensure timely completion of accounting tasks and accuracy of reports.
* Prepare client invoices, review aged debt reports, and chase overdue accounts.
* Cope with debtor and creditor queries (internal and external).
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should be familiar with handling pension contribution and discharge information for Ireland and UK pension authorities.
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
* Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
* Prior experience in UK payroll is desirable.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Prior experience in using Sage Payroll is advantageous.
